Bo Wu is Director of Orchestra Activities at the Wuhan University and Wuhan University Petrel Choir music director. He is also Hunan University Orchestra music director, permanent conductor.

In October, November and December of 2018, and in March 2019, as the conductor, Dr.Wu led the Wuhan University Orchestra as the only university student orchestra in China to accompany opera "Love is home" by “China National Arts Fund.” Touring in Wuhan, Beijing, Fuzhou and other places, their performance has received the praise of many Chinese experts, and caused a greatsocial reaction. Performing in the “China National Arts Fund” represents the highest level of performances in China, and is generally attended by professional orchestras. As a guest conductor in China, Dr. Wu has also cooperated with many professional orchestras such as Hunan Symphony, Henan Symphony, etc., and has been highly appreciatedby the audience. In March 2016, Dr. Wu attended the international masterclass in Berlin. Under Maestro Lior Shambadal’s guidance, he performed Mozart’s Symphony No.40 with Berlin Sinfonietta. In June 2015, Dr.Wu attended the international institute for conductors in Romania. Studied with Robert Gutter, OvidiuBalan and Charles Gambetta, he performed Mendelssohn Symphony No.3 and Tchaikovsy symphony No. 5 with Bacau philharmonic orchestra. Since 2014, Dr. Wu has been the conductor of the Stradivarius International Violin camp chamber orchestra.

Dr. Wu has gone through very strict and professional music training in China, Singapore and the United States, and under the guidance of Professor Robert Baldwin at the University of Utah, School of music, he became a dedicated and accomplished DMA student and got his degree with a solid academic background in orchestra conducting. During Dr.Wu’s DMA study, he has been an assisting conductor with the Utah Philharmonia Orchestra, and is also one of the core conductors in the University of Utah Campus symphony.
