Mandi Barrus

Mandi Barrus (she/her), mezzo-soprano, is a musician, actor, and opera producer. With her “impressive technique and clear tone”, Mandi’s performances are described as “a breath of fresh air” (Front Row Reviewers). She is known for her versatility of performance, with credits in concerts, musical theatre, and opera both in the US and abroad. Her notable company associations include Utah Opera, Opera Contempo, Hale Centre Theatre, Utah Lyric Opera, La Musica Lirica, and The Grand Theatre; as a soloist, Mandi has collaborated with Salt Lake Choral Artists, Utah Metropolitan Ballet, NEXT Ensemble, Murray Symphony, Utah Philharmonia, and Idaho Falls Interfaith ensemble.

Mandi shares her love of music as a teacher of private voice lessons, weekly at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church SLC as the Mezzo Artist-in-Residence and Assistant Conductor, and by presenting opera outreach programs with ARTS, Inc in elementary schools throughout Utah.
